Workshops Deeply Rooted in Mindfulness
(all workshops can be customized to meet the needs of your organization's conference or event)

Mindfulness for Wellbeing
You can be ill and well at the same time.
Wellness can feel especially difficult to imagine when mental illness or other challenges are part of everyday life. But being well does not require everything to be fixed.
This interactive workshop explores mindfulness as one path toward greater wellbeing. Participants are introduced to what mindfulness is, why it matters, and how it can support areas such as self-acceptance, personal growth, and overall wellness.
Grounded in both current and foundational research, the workshop moves beyond theory into experience. Through guided individual and group participation, participants engage with mindfulness in a multisensory way, creating space to pause, notice, reflect, and connect.
The experience concludes with conversation and reflection, giving participants an opportunity to consider how mindfulness might become a meaningful practice in their own lives.

Reducing Suicidal Ideation With Mindfulness
Practical tools for moments that matter.
Mindfulness can offer practical support when someone is experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts. This workshop translates mindfulness into evidence-informed strategies that can be used across organizations, communities, and care settings.
Participants explore grounding techniques, trauma-sensitive practices, and accessible tools that support emotional regulation and strengthen protective factors. The workshop also considers equitable, community-driven approaches and ways mindfulness can complement collaborative systems of care.
Through brief experiential practice and guided discussion, participants leave with concrete, adaptable strategies they can begin applying within their own roles and communities.

Social Media and Mindfulness
Use social media with more intention.
Social media can connect, inform, and inspire us. It can also affect stress, mood, attention, and the way we move through our day.
This workshop explores the relationship between social media and overall wellbeing, helping participants notice how common platforms influence behavior while also recognizing the benefits they can offer.
Through brief experiential exercises, participants learn mindfulness strategies to regulate use, reduce over-engagement, and become more aware of the habits shaping their online experience.
The session concludes with a personalized plan and flexible routine for more intentional, values-aligned social media use.
QPR Gatekeeper Training
Practical suicide prevention training for organizations, teams, and communities.

Question. Persuade. Refer.
Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response designed to help someone experiencing a suicide crisis. Recognizing warning signs early, knowing how to respond, and connecting someone with appropriate professional support can save lives.
This 1 to 2-hour training teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of suicide and use the three-step
QPR intervention:
Question
Ask directly and compassionately about suicide.
Persuade
Encourage the person to accept help and support.
Refer
Connect them with appropriate professional care and resources.
QPR Gatekeeper Training can be adapted for the people in the room, including youth-serving organizations, care providers, first responders, clergy, community groups, and other audiences.
Speaking Engagements
Stories that invite people to see themselves differently.

Inspirational and Motivational Speaking
A lived story can open a different kind of conversation.
For more than four decades, mental illness has been part of my story. So has the ongoing work of building a life rooted in sustainable wellness across multiple dimensions.
I bring that lived experience into honest, thoughtful conversations about what it means to struggle, grow, make choices, and continue becoming. Rather than presenting wellness as a destination or pretending difficult things disappear, I speak to the possibility of living fully in the midst of them.
Speaking engagements can be shaped around the audience, event, and conversation you want to create.

One-on-One Coaching
A whole-person approach to making sense of what you’re facing and finding a way forward.

You don’t have a problem. You have a puzzle.
When life feels complicated, it can be difficult to see how your experiences, choices, relationships, health, and circumstances fit together.
One-on-one coaching offers space to slow down, look at the whole picture, and begin making sense of the pieces. You won’t be handed a formula or told who to become. Instead, you’ll explore patterns, possibilities, and meaningful next steps that feel true to you.
The goal is not to give you someone else’s answers. It is to help you recognize your own choices, strengths, and capacity for change.
