MEET JENNIFER

Healing is personal. It doesn’t have to be solitary.

I’m Jennifer Polhemus, a holistic wellness coach, workshop facilitator, and speaker bringing meaningful, whole-person experiences to organizations, events, and individuals near and far.

My work is grounded in a truth I have lived: meaningful change rarely follows a straight line. We can be struggling and growing, hurting and healing, ill and well, all at the same time.

Wellness is not a finish line. It is a way of meeting ourselves honestly, recognizing the choices still within reach, and continuing to move forward with intention.

MY MISSION

You are fully equipped to heal.

My mission is to guide those who are suffering toward an empowering truth: that they are responsible for, and fully equipped to embark on, their own healing journey.

Through clear, compassionate guidance, I help people take hold of their choices and embrace consequences as catalysts for real change.

I envision a vibrant community of interdependent people devoted to personal growth and holistic wellness, united by compassion, mindfulness, excellence, courage, and transformation.

MY JOURNEY

I know what it means to rebuild.

At one point in my life, I weighed more than 500 pounds. My mobility was severely limited, my health was in danger, and I was told that something had to change.

In 2011, I underwent gastric bypass surgery. But the surgery was only one part of a much larger transformation.

The real work meant changing habits, examining my relationship with food, participating in therapy, confronting painful parts of my history, and learning to relate to myself with greater honesty and compassion. Over time, I lost approximately 250 pounds, but the most important changes could not be measured on a scale.

I began to understand that my body, mental health, relationships, experiences, choices, and environment were not separate problems. They were connected pieces of one larger story.

Healing required more than changing my circumstances. It required changing the way I looked at them.

It meant accepting what had happened without allowing it to define what happened next. It meant taking responsibility without carrying blame. And it meant reclaiming the power to participate in the person I was becoming.
